9 issues in total, if you paid retail you shelled out roughly $50 to read an event that was spectacularly mentally challenged. This was the extra issue? It was pointless, what a cash grab. As a sequel to the original story it’s not great and has nothing to do with what came before, It doesn’t add anything or make you think, it’s just a dumb popcorn flick. On its own as just a typical Event comic it’s fine. I didn’t like or dislike this story, I ultimately just got board with it. What happens next are more or less the same plot beats as the first Civil War, heroes die, tradgedy strikes and everything ends bitterly. The story is about a inhuman named Ulysses who can see into fu ture but it’s only a possible future that isn’t garenteed, this gets the attention of Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel who wants to use Ulysses power to stop crimes before they happen, but Tony Stark aka Iron Man, after finding out the true process behind the boys powers, urges Carol Danvers to not take this seriously. Civil war in the grand scheme of things has no connection to either the first event, and really has no point to exist.

Luckily the movie handled those ideas better than the actual book and in turn suceeded in a great movie. In my opinion the first civil war story was very unpleasant and very depressing and poorly handled, especially since it has an interesting premise with possibilities about civil liberties vs personal justice, and could connect to people still struggling with the trauma after post 9/11 world. Civil War 2 is just a blantent and Obvious cash in on the 2016 Captain America movie. If the phrase “Cash grab” couldn’t be evermore relavant here.
